Welcome back, readers, for another installment of Daily Dead’s 2017 Holiday Gift Guide! For day eight, we are going all in on enamel pins, simply because there are so many amazing designs out there and it was hard to narrow down the list. That being said, here’s a list of over 100 horror and sci-fi themed enamel pins that we discovered online, and we guarantee there’s absolutely something for every genre fan out there, so if you need some stocking stuffer or holiday gift ideas, look no further!
Do keep in mind that in most cases, what you see below is only a partial listing of each site’s inventory, so I recommend digging around each online store for all kinds of goodies, because there are some truly amazing enamel pin designs out there (I could have easily done a list of 200, but my sanity won out).

The Hot Shots! movies were the peak of spoof cinema in the 1990s. We take a look back...
Spoof. Say it aloud. Feels like a dirty word doesn’t it?
Aside from even sounding slightly smutty, the spoof movie genre has, of late, been sullied by (five!) Scary Movies, Meet The Spartans and - oh, the irony - Disaster Movie. Transitory, devoid of wit and with the lowest common denominator in their crosshairs, these movies aimed for the tittering teenager, the cheap thrill-seeker and the perpetually stoned.
Perhaps the above seems like a sweeping generalisation, but it’s with good cause. Where these movies and even the term spoof itself have since been eschewed, there remains a series of films which occupy a place of fondness in the heart of - including yours truly, obvs - many a film fan: the Zaz movies.

Long before any sort of justice had ever dawned, Freddy vs. Jason debuted in cinemas to what may be remembered as the first notable crossover between two major film franchises. Since then, we’ve received a couple Alien vs. Predator movies, the second of which performed so poorly that Fox split them back into their own separate entities, and to a much, much lesser extent, Lake Placid vs. Anaconda.
Believe it or not, the road to getting the dream mashup made was treacherous indeed. With the first seeds having been planted in the closing moments of 1993’s Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday, you’d have thought we were off to the races. Alas, we we wrong.
None of us could have foreseen that the Hell Jason had actually been sent off to was that of the developmental variety, but, technically, he did at least get to go to...

With Ben Stone as a father, Peter has a lot to live up to.
The elder Stone didn't have much of a personal life in the original Law & Order, but now Peter regularly describes him as strict, having high expectations for his son, and not always able to be there for him.
And on Chicago Justice Season 1 Episode 6, Peter seemed almost as haunted by the advice his father gave him after missing his baseball game as by his inability to get justice for a grieving widow.
At first, I wasn't sure why Stone was so affected by this case.
Sure, Gail Marcus was upset and cried on his shoulder, but he seemed to be taking her case awfully personally and not just because he'd lost at trial.
I was pretty sure Chicago Justice wasn't going to go the route of Stone having an affair with a witness so soon after...

Last Week’S Review: ‘Say Yes’ Is A Good Old-Fashioned Zombie Fight
[Spoilers follow for “The Walking Dead” Season 7, Episode 13, “Bury Me Here.”]
Whose Episode Is It?
We’re with the Kingdom this week, and Morgan takes center stage. Morgan’s story this week is so central, in fact, that his decisions eclipse the ostensibly important key decisions of other characters, dulling the impact of the overall story. It also doesn’t help that the first half of “Bury Me Here” plays out in extremely predictable fashion.
A Shred of Humanity
I’ve always been fascinated by the way “The Walking Dead” approaches Morgan, since he’s one of the only characters to preach non-violence on a show that often endorses the opposite (remember when Tyreese got put in the “Kill more or I kill this baby” situation?). So it was probably just a matter of time before the show found a way to get Morgan back on the murder train,...

The 16th edition of Film4 FrightFest kicks off in skin-crawling fashion with the European premiere of David Keating’s blood-freezing rural nightmare Cherry Tree, starring Anna Walton (Hellboy 2, Soulmate) and rising star Naomi Battrick (Down Dog, Waterloo Road)
Keating, who directed the acclaimed Wake Wood for the revamped Hammer label, offers another provocative and compelling twist on the pagan cult chiller, in which a young girl, Faith (Naomi Battrick), in an attempt to save her father’s life, makes a fateful pact with Sissy Young (Anna Walton) head of a sinister black magic coven. FrightFest’s first Irish event-opener, Cherry Tree, is a Fantastic Films & House of Netherhorror Production, produced by John McDonnell & Brendan McCarthy.

We're back with another horror round-up, this time turning our attention to the latest iZombie poster that puts a living dead spin on the ice cream cone, an unsettling new clip from Mickey Keating's Pod, and release details on Conor McMahon's From the Dark.
iZombie: "Co-created and executive produced by Rob Thomas & Diane Ruggiero-Wright (Veronica Mars), along with executive producers Danielle Stokdyk and Dan Etheridge (also of Veronica Mars), Rose McIver (Masters of Sex, Once Upon a Time) stars as Olivia “Liv” Moore, a 25-year-old medical resident on the fast track to a perfect life … until she’s turned into a zombie. Liv transfers her residency to the coroner’s office for access to the brains she must reluctantly eat, but with each brain she consumes, she inherits the corpse’s memories. With her medical examiner boss and a police detective, she now solves homicides to quiet the voices in her head.

Some movie characters are no more than punch-lines, their fates tied to a disposable pay-off, either in comedic terms or as a lesson to other main characters, and you really have to feel sorry them. Theirs is a thankless existence – as is the case with every character who exists only to advance the plot – and there is special consideration for those who end up in body bags with great big “I Told You So” messages slathered over them.
Despite the vibrant market for twists and turns and shocking revelations that exists in movies, even the most original of movies rely in some way on the traditional visual and tropic language of Hollywood. Every film adheres to certain expectations – in character types, or story directions – and there are inevitably a number of definitive Dos and Don’ts in the film universe.

Death is a constant fact of life for the characters of The Walking Dead – but especially on season-finale episodes. In season 1, Jacqui elected to die in the Cdc explosion; in season 2, Shane died twice in the penultimate episode before the zombies overran Hershel’s farm in the finale; and last season, Andrea was the season-ender’s biggest casualty. With the final episode of season 4 set for this Sunday, none of the characters who’ve reached or will soon reach the promised oasis known as Terminus should start making long-term future plans. Dead producer Robert Kirkman has already warned us that...

Today is of course St. Patrick’s Day, which essentially means that us horror fans are allowed the freedom to do two things, without incurring the wrath of judgment that doing those two things typically incurs; not only do we get to drink all day, but it’s sort of an unwritten rule that we must plop our asses on our couches and watch as many of the films in the Leprechaun franchise as we can possibly endure. A great holiday this one is, to say the least.
That said, if you’ve already seen all the Leprechaun movies, and don’t have much interest in watching them again, then have no fear, because we’ve got you covered. Revenge, revenge, and a bit more revenge. Here's Emma's review of this week's True Blood episode...
This review contains spoilers.
6.9 Life Matters
True Blood’s sixth season reached its penultimate episode this week in seriously schizophrenic style with Life Matters. One the one hand beatific and truly affectionate, on the other bloody and truly vengeful, the episode couldn’t have been more finely balanced; even the bizarre grandmother couldn’t spoil it.
Yes, Grandma Bellefleur the bigoted Oap, either conceived as comic relief or as the over-estimated sour to the funeral’s natural sweet, was firmly on the wrong side of funny every time she spoke – a bizarre and rare comedy misfire, God only knows what they were thinking when they wrote those lines. Granny faux-pas aside, the rest of the funeral scenes were fantastic – sweet without being schmaltzy enough to be unpalatable, funny, touching and...

True Blood’s latest instalment was a little disturbing to say the least; no loving what so ever teamed with a lot of violence makes for unhappy viewing. Episode 8 picked up where we left off with Eric literally drowning in his sorrows, with Nora’s bloody mass draped all over him and Bill standing in the doorway making that look he does when trying to seem mysterious. Vampire catfights are typical for these two characters and this was pretty mild in comparison to what was to come later on in the episode. Scorned sarcastic Eric is not a nice guy, mocking Bill and his godlike tendencies when all he is trying to do is save all vampire kind gosh darn it! It really seems like Dead Meat would have been a better title for last week’s episode after the gruesome demise of Nora. But maybe it’s more fitting for Eric now, since his reaction to her death has been less than pleasant. I’d wager that her death is much more important than Terry’s unceremonious exit, but only because it affects Eric in a way that’s going to change how this season of True Blood will turn out.
Needless to say, Bill handled Nora’s death awfully and immediately tried to call in his favor from Eric while Nora’s goo was still gooey. More than pissed, Eric takes off and decides to find Warlow on his own. For some reason, Bill gives up his whereabouts, and Eric makes it his mission to find him. Since he’s a bit low on faerie blood, he gets lucky...

The psycho girlfriend trope has been a tired, misogynistic cliché for a while now, but its persistence in bro humor says a lot about how certain guys might think. Ladies who openly seek long-term relationships are walking nightmares to be avoided or derided? Got it, dude. Just as upsetting is the flipside: Lady-targeted entertainment in which literal monsters remove women's agency by forcing love and protection onto them forever and it's considered wish fulfillment? Uh, okay, weirdos. Everybody just needs to relax about the concept of Forever, already. Whether it terrifies you or turns you on, Forever doesn't exist! But this week's episode of True Blood bandied about the concept in ways that might terrify both genders and above all else reaffirmed the fact that vampires are intense, man. No fewer than three vampires promised/threatened eternity to others in "Dead Meat," and each declaration felt weirder than the last.

We’re on the home stretch of Season 6, so naturally, True Blood’s writers are focusing in on the action and not wasting screen time on things like details of funeral arrangements and what Arlene needs to eat for breakfast. Oh, wait. In the interest of plot development, “Dead Meat” did have a surreally bad chase sequence — Ms. Suzuki R.I.P. — and a soapy pregnancy surprise. Let’s get to the Wtf-ery of it all…
1. Warlow, how you’ve changed.
I forgot that Warlow was once a really, really scary, ugly vampire from another dimension, not a handsome fairy tied to a tree pining after Sookie, didn’t you? Thanks, writers, for the flashback to that creepy bathroom visitation and also for Sookie’s voicemail to Jason, in which she finally wonders, “Have you seen Niall?” She’s had a lot on her mind, I guess. And also, only...

Much of this week's True Blood episode dealt with Arlene coming to grips with Terry's death as she prepared for his funeral.
Elsewhere, "Dead Meat" had an opportunity to cut away some dead weight with regard to Alcide and Sam's arcs, but instead brought the two together over a bottle of whiskey.
It was bad enough Alcide had to fight Rikki, but to get an earful from her afterward about how his showing her mercy was a weakness? Ridiculous. Glad to see his pack days are, at least for now, behind him. I was sort of digging he and Sam's little bonding session, but the introduction of a baby had me shaking my head. We've already seen Andy playing the befuddled father this season. I feel like Sam's arc is being written down that same road.
Maybe the writers should think on it and drink on it like Alcide and Sam did.

As human beings, do we innately remember things better than they really were? Do we unconsciously block out all of the painful memories—the additional pairs of underwear we had to pack for school in preparation for wedgies—and only remember the good times. Is Tom Keifer mistaken when he tells me, “Don’t know what you've got […]

Although Sunday’s episode of True Blood is titled “Dead Meat,” none of our regulars actually perish. (Not even Arlene, whose hangover from last week’s bender I could’ve imagined being lethal.) However, Sookie does make a decision that at first makes her pulse race and eventually will stop her heartbeat altogether. Wth? Read on. I’ll explain…

In last week's episode, Nora died in Eric's arms, Jessica got much closer to James and Sarah used Burrell's death to take control of things at Vamp Camp. In this week's episode, "Dead Meat," Jason gets cozy with Violet-the-vamp and Sookie has to help Bilith make a deal with Benlow. Read on to find out what kind of insanity True Blood delivers this week.

Sex, sex and more sex.
The latest episode of True Blood gave our Round Table panelists - Chris O'Hara and Leigh Raines of TV Fanatic, Liz Henderson of True-Blood.net - plenty to discuss this week, especially of the naked variety. Which horizontal mambo was the most enticing?
How much will we miss Nora? Does Eric look better with long or short hair? Gather around and join in now!
-------------------------------------------
What was your favorite scene from the episode?
Chris: Pam getting her Freud on and taking us into her mind set behind the once glorious scene of Fangtasia. Her insights into human desire were great. It was vintage Pam once again.
Leigh: I have to say, I still love the shock everyone gets when Bill strolls into a room in broad daylight. Arlene was so wasted she thought she was hallucinating. Sookie's reaction was amazing and Lafayette with his beta blockers.

New True Blood season 6,episode 8 short spoiler teasers & title hit the net. Recently, Spoiler TV served up a few,new spoiler teasers for HBO's hit show "True Blood" episode 8 of season 6. They were also able to get a title for us. It turns out that it will be named, "Dead Meat," which doesn't sound too pleasant, I must say. Anyways, as for the spoilery details, it looks like we're going to see the arrival of a new guard and bottling plant foreman. So, yeah, they aren't too exciting. However, they will be co-starring roles,so maybe they'll stick around for a bit and stir something up,but probably not. They'll more than likely just get killed off or mysteriously disappear from the storyline. These teasers come by way of a casting call. In their spoiler statement, they said, "True Blood episode 6.08 is called "Dead Meat" and 2 co-star roles are being...

Terence Stamp, London
His beauty is often admired before his acting skills, but while the former has faded somewhat the latter survives, at least when Stamp isn't topping up the retirement fund with another offhand baddie role. Those dodgier movies have thankfully been omitted from this selective retrospective (don't worry, Superman II is still in there). He lit up the screen, and the 1960s, with early films such as Billy Budd, The Collector, Far From The Madding Crowd, Poor Cow and Theorem, then took an extended break in an Indian ashram. Since his return to the day job, he's reminded us what he can do, in The Hit, The Adventures Of Priscilla Queen Of The Desert, even last year's Song For Marion. He's a terrific writer and talker, too, which should make his on-stage interview (8 May) a hot ticket.

Stitches was recently released to Blu-ray/DVD, and I had the opportunity to interview director Conor McMahon and star Tommy Knight. We discussed some of the crazy death sequences from the movie, Ross Nobel’s performance, and the possibility of a sequel.
For this particular interview, we tried something new where the phone interview was recorded, so that’s my audio is a bit muffled. We’re based out of NY, but many interview opportunities take place in La, and I thought it would be interesting to experiment with this when offered.

Director Conor McMahon has grown significantly as a filmmaker since his offbeat horror romp Dead Meat, a zombie romp about a virus that makes the leap from infected animals to humans.
Stitches - his latest release which debuted in the States this week courtesy of Dark Sky Films - is a fine demonstration that he has fine-tuned his horror-comedy chops for the better. His tale about a party clown who is accidentally killed and resurrected to slaughter a group of teens is sharp, gory and pretty goddamn funny. It's a blend of '80s slasher archetypes and American Pie-esque gags.
ShockTillYouDrop.com had a chance to speak with McMahon while he was in town attending the Hollywood premiere of his film on April Fool's Day.
