  • A woman performs a sexual ritual (possibly voodoo) in which she does various sexual movements (solo) and another unaware woman is actually performing the same sexual acts on a man.
  • A man and woman strip naked to swim in the ocean. The man's bare buttocks are shown. The woman's breasts and butt are shown.
  • A man walks around with no shirt on and woman walks around in a two-piece swimsuit.
  • A man forces a woman into sex, but after a while she consents, he is shown thrusting on top of her and her bare breasts can be seen
  • A man and a woman are skinny-dipping in the ocean. The couple's bared breasts are shown. Through movement, gasps, and grunts, it is implied that they are having sex under the water, but we see nothing below their chest level. The woman's husband is shown watching the couple from the shore.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • A man is speared through the torso during a fight. Given the setting and other implications in the movie, this was a mortal wound.
  • The movie begins with a shipwreck. The body of one of the people on the boat is found later floating in the water, bloated and dead. The man's face is briefly shown while two of the survivors attempt to resuscitate him. Blood oozes from his mouth during CPR.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The film begins with a fire aboard a boat that requires that the occupants abandon the craft, shortly after which the boat explodes.
  • The film shows some spousal abuse (when Manuel slaps his wife and when Jack drags Jennifer across to the other hut), infidelity (both Manuel and Jennifer commit it), and revenge/jealously/figurative backstabbing.
