So laughable and OTT it can't help but be kind of enjoyable
STAR RATING:*****Unmissable****Very Good***Okay**You Could Go Out For A Meal Instead*Avoid At All Costs
"Nigel, you shall be given the name.....Maximo.Chris,you shall be given the name......Eradico......"or something like that.
Anywho, this facile attempt by Channel 5 to garner publicity pre the launch of the vacuous looking At Home With The Eubanks reunites the two former boxing ring opponents to duke it out in a real life Roman collesium under the expert guidance of some demanding,no bullsh*t taking professional trainers.
It's a surprisingly clever idea,in as much as it's the two former middle weights respective extroverted personalities which ultimately makes it such enjoyable viewing. On the one hand,we have the volatile, easily provoked Benn ("Come on then!!!-You want some?!?-Come onnnnnnnnnnn!!!"),with an almost certain desire to settle the score which began in the boxing ring in 1990,and,of course,on the other, the notoriously eccentric, none conforming Eubank, who wittingly, and sometimes unwittingly, manages to rattle Benn's cage at every available opportunity. These two have done and always will do make thoroughly engaging opponents.
Ultimately, you can't help but sit back and laugh at this overblown, ultimately rather silly but nonetheless thoroughly enjoyable way to pass your time.***
