Marvin's wife on the show was always called "Dear" and her face was never shown. Only on the very last episode at the end of the show, did she show her face to the camera for everyone to see.
Shock Theatre had a half hour show that followed right after that was called The Shocktail Party. Sometimes referred to as "Aftershock".
The set for Shock Theatre was created by Frank Oakley (Who later went on to do some work for the Supergirl (1984) movie.) Set pieces of the background painted wall of Marvin's dungeon were later donated to the television show Screaming Yellow Theatre (1970) (1970-1973) and later used for Son of Svengoolie (1978) (1978-1986). Its because of the painted wall to make the set for Screaming Yellow Theatre , Jerry G. Bishop and crew decided to go live action instead of just broadcasting audio voice of Jerry G. Bishop as Svengoolie. When Son of Svengoolie, WFLD Chicago, moved from Marina City to Michigan Ave. the set pieces were donated to Columbia College. Shortly after that the college destroyed the wall pieces to be used for another purpose.
Red Flannels, Terry's ventriloquist dummy from Jobblewocky Place (1957), once appeared on Shock Theatre dressed as Marvin.
