The Wonder Years
Cast: Fred Savage, Josh Saviano, Danica McKellar, Dan Lauria, Alley Mills, Daniel Stern, Jason Hervey
Due Out: October 7, 2014
Who’S It For? “The Wonder Years” is timeless. Thankfully it doesn’t feel dated simply because I was a child of the ’80s trying to understand life in the late ’60s. “The Wonder Years” was my gateway drug to a nostalgia I didn’t even know. Like many of you, I grew up with Kevin. I hoped for Winnie, I had friends like Paul (and probably was Paul more than I realized).
I can’t wait to show “The Wonder Years” to my son. I’ll have to wait, because he hasn’t even turned two yet, but now I have six episodes to show him, and hopefully that will just be the beginning.
TV Score: 10/10

While millions of people across the United States celebrated the striking down of the Defense of Marriage Act, the Chick-fil-a President Dan Cathy only had hurtful things to say.

While millions of people rejoiced on June 26, Dan tweeted that it was a “sad day for our nation,” and then quickly deleted the tweet. Is he totally out of line?

Ah, Sunday. A wonderful day of laziness and freedom that gets all blown to hell around 5pm when the sun starts to go and you realize that that bastard, Monday, is lurking just around the corner. And then you get what I call the Sunday Blues, where your heart just sinks and a part of your brain starts whining about not wanting to go to work tomorrow. You want to keep watching movies and feasting for another day. But Monday, that bitch, just won't stop it and it's coming at you with a pitchfork. But! Now you have the Ee to read and it will all be wonderful. Maybe you won't kill your screechy co-worker today after all. Maybe you'll put the sharpened pencil down before you carry out your fantasy of driving it through Screechy's neck. Maybe Pajiba does save lives after all.
That kind of sucks, though, because Screechy McScreecherson deserves death.

Now that our screening at the Worldwide Short Film Festival is complete I have no qualms about pointing out that Philip Eddols’ Git Gob is online in its entirety thanks to the kindness of the people at the National Film Board Of Canada. This is officially one of the Best Things Ever, it’s only a minute and a half, and it’s embedded below the break. We’ve also got Eddol’s previous short, Wat A Wonderful Day down there.
