- Dancer on stage reveal cleavage, legs, and buttocks to Willie, who selects each night's sex partner from these semi-private auditions. In repeated flashbacks, Jack watches Anne wearing a slip in a river (from the back, in the moonlight) and remembers undressing her and her lying nude in bed, only to be disappointed at his own inaction. A female political aide of the governor is implied to be his mistress.

- A violent assassination concludes the film, including pooling blood (mostly black and white).
- Another man is wheeled out on a stretcher with a blood stained sheet covering him; implying the man shot himself. Accusations of responsibility follow.
