Like most horror fans, Halloween is more of a 24/7 celebration for me and my family, but there are a few signs that October 31st is right around the corner: the abundance of pumpkin ale in stores, my increased appetite for Count Chocula, and the opening of haunted attractions across the country. The latter seems to be happening a bit earlier in recent years, and I had a chance to get a jump-start on the haunted attraction season when Universal Orlando flew me down to check out the opening night of Halloween Horror Nights.
Now in its 26th year at Universal Orlando, Halloween Horror Nights is a mix of mazes based on popular horror properties and original creations from Universal's creative team. The concept is similar to what you'll get at local haunts, but the set design and attention to detail are incredible and really make Halloween Horror Nights stand out from the crowd.

Some thrill riders fail to catch the camera lights during a roller coaster, but it appears Ariana Grande and boyfriend Big Sean made it just in time! The adorable couple were recently photographed kissing while riding the scary Revenge of the Mummy ride at Universal Studios in Hollywood. "If you needed any more confirmation that Big Sean + Ariana Grande are going steady, here it is," Bet's official Twitter account captioned the talked-about pic on Tuesday, Oct. 7. The "Bang Bang" singer, 21, and Big Sean, 26, leaned [...]...

Collecting more frequent flyer miles, Ariana Grande jetted into London’s Heathrow International Airport on Tuesday afternoon (October 7).
As the “Problem” singer towed her Louis Vuitton carry-on through the terminal, she greeted fans and posed for pictures before hopping into a chauffeured car.
Over the weekend, Ariana went public with her Big Sean romance by puckering up with her main squeeze while riding a rollercoaster.
Grande took her beau to Universal Studios and hopped on Revenge of the Mummy where she very publicly displayed her affection for him.
Big Sean previously gushed, "I am going to tell you this- That Ariana is very, very special. She's very special to me. Everything she has going on is good with her, everything I have going on is good with me, everything between me and her is good, and I'm just going to leave it at that."...

Can we say that Big Sean and Ariana Grande are roller-coaster official? The young couple was spotted kissing in public for the first time when they shared a smooch while on Universal Studios Hollywood's Revenge of the Mummy ride. While their fellow riders were photographed screaming by the ride's cameras, Ariana and Big Sean decided to kiss instead of getting scared. The pair first went public with their romance when they were spotted holding hands backstage at the 2014 VMAs. Then, a day after their Pda, Ariana confirmed that the two were an item, telling Ryan Seacrest during an interview that they are seeing each other. "I guess [we're dating]," Ariana said. "I don't know what to say, Ryan. Why are you doing this me? I'll tell you. I'll tell you when we're not on the air. I trust you. I've known you a long time. I don't know about these millions of people listening in right now.

In this companion piece to An Evening At The Eyegores, we at FM take you on a textual walkthrough of Universal Studios’ terrifying transformation into Halloween Horror Nights.
Every year Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights keep getting bigger and better as more and more bloodthirsty souls flock at Universal’s gates to get the living daylights scared out of them. This year the Terminator and WaterWorld theaters sat dark and empty as we said goodbye to the Rocky Horror tribute and Slaughterworld, but new sections of the park sprang to life as the sun went down with the arrival of six haunting mazes and five terrifying “Scare Zones.”
Be warned, you’ll have to wait in an incredibly long line to get to go through any of the mazes, so try going on a Thursday or Sunday night to avoid the crowds – an idea Universal is trying to promote by...

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood is the one event every year that I really look forward to. I wait anxiously for tickets to go on sale, and when they do, I am one of the first to grab a front of the line pass. Last year I waited until Halloween night to go, but this year, I decided I needed to get in there on opening night for some fun and screams!
This year, the mazes felt re-vamped and fresh. Last year they debuted Rob Zombie’s House of 1000 Corpses 3D (which made a return because it is awesome), along with A Nightmare on Elm Street (remake), Friday the 13th (remake), Saw, and Vampyre (which was less then stellar). Last year was probably the weakest year to date in the maze department, but boy did that change this year!

Step right up, step right up. Come one and all to the most gruesome show on Earth. Often imitated, but never duplicated, the one-of-a-kind Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights tickets are on sale now and a myriad of malevolent mazes await any traveler who dares to enter. Mwah-ha-ha.
