There is an upside to getting bounced from a Grand Slam tournament — even if you’re Serena Williams. The early exit allows you to fly back to Miami just in time to crash a wedding!
After losing in the second round of the French Open, Williams joined the likes of Justin Bieber and John Travolta by surprising an unsuspecting couple in Miami Beach. The leopard-print bathing suit may not have been part of the bride and groom’s color palette, but we’re sure they’re happy to have this photo for their scrapbook. Meanwhile, Serena superfan Drake was on Young Money duty Sunday night, making an appearance during Nicki Minaj‘s set at Hot 97 Summer Jam. His on-again, off-again boo, Rihanna, was backstage, prompting speculation that these two crazy kids are a thing once again. And after cutting ties with some of her famous friends on Instagram back in April,...

Months after Beyonce inked a $50 million, multi-faceted deal with Pepsi, Jay-z and Samsung are said to be locking in a $20 million package that would see the rapper collaborating on multiple projects with the tech giant.
Page Six reports that the rapper and now sports agent might create a social media network as part of the deal. Regardless of the terms, a $20 million signing is a big move for the man who famously asserted, "I'm not a businessman, I'm a business, man."
If true, the report would signal the latest in a number of high-profile business moves Jay-z has made over the past couple of years. He dissolved his stake in the Brooklyn Nets to set up Roc Nation Sports, a talent agency that has already landed some key signings; he moved his music label, Roc Nation, from Sony to Universal; he launched Made in America, a massive music festival in...

Beyoncé's new single, "Grown Woman," has finally made its way online after weeks of teases. While fans have heard snippets of the song in the singer's recent Pepsi commercial, a full version was never released, until it leaked on the web today. In the song, which Beyoncé has performed on her Mrs. Carter Show tour, she sings about being "grown" and how she can "do whatever" she wants. The lyrics follow the same fiercely independent theme that Beyoncé is known for, but will it be as big of a hit as "Single Ladies" or "Who Run the World (Girls)"? Listen to the full version of Beyoncé's "Grown Woman" and sound off in our poll below. popsugar pollBeyoncé's "Grown Woman" Leaks - Summer Jam or Not a Fan? Summer jam - I already have it on replay! Not a fan - Just can't get into this one.

Nas and I have something in common: We both miss the 1990s. I miss it because that was the decade when I graduated from high school and went to college. Everything felt so important back then -- especially music. Nas presumably misses it because his music was among the most important of the decade. Illmatic, released in April 1994, was a dispatch from the Queensbridge projects that immediately established Nas as one of the premier rappers of his generation. I'm sure it's because we were biased New Yorkers, but nobody I knew listened to Tupac until he died. Our "Who's No. 1?" debates all centered on Biggie and Nas.
None of which is to suggest that Nas (born Nasir Jones) hasn't enjoyed his share of success in the new millennium. He's released five successful solo albums since 2001; one went double platinum, two went platinum, and the last two hit No. 1. And he's...

We count down the year's most memorable musical moments, in Bigger Than the Sound.

In 2011, we shuffled and shook it out. We found love and decided to dance until the world ends. We rolled in the deep and celebrated the boys with the booming systems. Shoot, at one point, we even went to Paris with Will Ferrell. It was, to say the very least, an interesting 12 months.
So, how else to sum up the year than with my picks for the 25 Best Songs of 2011: odes to partying and pumped-up kicks, songs of sadness and beauty, tunes about getting loaded and getting revenge. Pop, hip-hop, rock, bed-tronica, they're all here, and they're all important in some way, mostly because they all helped guide us through a rather tumultuous time. But that's enough from me,...

Maroon 5's Adam Levine has already made a compelling argument for why his band's new single, "Moves Like Jagger," deserves to be your pick for the Summer Jam of 2011: Basically, unless you want to have the worst beach trip ever, you will add the song to your playlist.
But now, with the new "Jagger" video, Levine's making an equally compelling argument for why the Rolling Stones frontman deserves to be a part of your summer, too — mainly because he's pretty much the coolest guy ever.
"We were lucky enough to get Mick's endorsement [for the video], as far as him giving us access to a bunch of different footage that's so cool," Levine explained. "Not many people have seen [it], especially a newer generation...

As far as Adam Levine is concerned, the race for the 2011 Summer Jam crown was over the second Maroon 5's "Moves Like Jagger" hit the airwaves. Because, really, there is no other logical choice. Or any other song, for that matter.
"Unless you want to have a terrible summer, I suggest you choose this as your summer jam, because 'Moves Like Jagger' is your summer jam — you just don't know it yet," he told MTV News on the set of the "Jagger" video in Los Angeles. Strong sales by female artists have put industry in positive territory for first time since 2004.

Beyoncé may have been on to something with that whole "Run the World (Girls)," business after all. Though Queen B's single didn't set the world on fire, in the first half of 2011, a number of her fellow divas — Adele, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry — have helped the music business achieve something it hasn't been able to in nearly eight years: positive growth.
According to figures released on Wednesday by Nielsen SoundScan, overall album sales rose 3.6 percent to 221.5 million during the first half of this year. That marks the first time since 2004 that sales have been in the black for an industry that has suffered a decade-long slide thanks to rampant Internet piracy and slumping album sales as a result of fans cherry-picking singles on iTunes and other download services.

Now that school's out and folks are slathering on the sunscreen, we figured it was time to take the temperature of the annual Summer Jam Sweepstakes — the race to dominate the airwaves (and your tanning playlist) during the long, hot months of the year.
So last week, we published our initial rankings in the race for the Summer Jam crown, a list that was topped by Katy Perry's "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)," with Pitbull's "Give Me Everything" and Lmfao's "Party Rock Anthem" following close behind. A whole host of other big-name stars — like Eminem, Nicki Minaj, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga and Adele, to name just a few — also made the cut, along with some dark-horse candidates (like Foster the People, Maroon 5 and David Guetta...

Well, school's out and summer is officially here, which means it's time to handicap the race for Summer Jam 2011 — the annual sweepstakes of sweaty, sex-drenched (and, this year, sax-heavy) songs that turns our nation's finest beaches and waterfront drinking establishments into an all-out battle for summer-soundtrack superiority.
Last year, it was Katy Perry who emerged victorious, thanks to "California Gurls," her slinky ode to daisy dukes and melting popsicles, and she's back to defend her crown this summer with "Last Friday Night." But she'll face considerable competition from a host of big-name stars — Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Nicki Minaj and Adele — each of whom are looking to take home the title. And even if she manages to outgun them, will Perry have enough left...

Chris Brown continues to spend the summer from one major stage to another. After previously rocking Memorial Day Weekend at Rock Spring Fest in Miami, he took off to New Jersey to be one of the musical guests at Hot 97 Summer Jam 2011 at New Meadowlands Stadium.
"Had a blast on stage New York/ New jersey! I love all y'all support!" Breezy tweeted. The other performers at the gig included Lil Wayne, Drake, Dipset, Rick Ross, Fabolous, Lloyd Banks, Wiz Khalifa, Waka Flocka Flame and Birdman.
The other stage he recently visited was Jam'n 94.5's Summer Jam at Comcast Center in Boston. He made a duet with Big Sean in "My Last", reprise his Miami steamy lap dance with a female fan, and busted some moves when the DJ played songs by Beyonce Knowles, Soulja Boy and Jay-z.

HollywoodNews.com: Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Kelly Rowland’s latest single “Commander” featuring david Guetta has just hit number one on the Billboard Dance/Club Play songs chart. The single from her forthcoming self-titled album bumps Lady Gaga’s “Alejandro” from the top spot three weeks after the futuristic music video for “Commander,” directed by celebrated Japanese lensman Masashi Muto and choreographed by Fatima Robinson, premiered on Vevo to critical acclaim, receiving more than 2 million views to date.
Named by Entertainment Weekly as this year’s “Summer Jam No. 1,” “Commander” was produced by renowned dance guru David Guetta and written by Grammy winner Rico Love, whose songwriting credits include hits with Beyoncé, Nelly, and Usher, among others.
