Documentary L’amministratore by Vincenzo Marra will open the CinemaXXI competition section of the Rome Film Festival (November 8-17, 2013).
Neapolitan director and screenwriter Marra returns to southern Italy for the story of Umberto Montella, a building administrator who spends his days in meetings dealing with the small and large problems of everyday Neapolitan life.
Marra is best known for Sailing Home and Vento di Terra, which won five and three awards at Venice, respectively.
Prospettive Doc Italia - dedicated to the new trends in Italian documentary filmmaking - will open its competition with Lettera al Presidente by Marco Santarelli.
