A funny fan film that mixes the material well
It is a time of millennial strife. Sponikan Sponewalker, PA and Jedi apprentice under the tutelage of Master Yoda searches the galaxy for truth, knowledge and the Producer's vente, triple, double, decal, blended mochachino no whip. Back at the office the evil Executive Palpitadd torments his minions with sadistic demands because, hey, he can. The Executive's sinister toady, Qui-Stay Gon anxiously awaits the return of young Sponewalker. To do one last run.
That this is amateurish should be no surprise to anyone but it is still pretty funny. Many fan films and spoofs have taken Star Wars themes, characters and effects and put them into other settings and this one is no different, setting it in the studio world of the PA that we have seen in Swimming with Sharks and several other films have done. The opening credits are funny despite being obvious and the script does well to spoof the world of the PA while also using the Star Wars characters well some spoofs do one but not the other. The jokes are pretty good in particular Yoda using his powers to swipe a bite of a snack bar.
The acting may not be up to much but they do come across as all being in on the joke which, I suppose, they were. Overall a funny little short that never outstays its welcome and will be enjoyed by those in the "business" and some Star Wars fans, just a shame that it didn't have a stronger ending.
