Riveting documentary that opened my eyes to lost American history
margesimpson9 September 2005
Guerrero Project was one of the best documentaries I have seen in a long time! This film captured my attention to a subject I may otherwise never know about. The film provides a thorough education on the history of the slave ship Guerrero that sunk off the coast of Florida. Intertwined with history are interviews with archaeologists, divers, treasure hunters and other exciting personalities who are searching for the ship's remains. As most of the history is only documented in writing, beautifully detailed drawings accompanied the story. The camera-work and editing are amazing, making viewers feel like they are the ones conducting interviews. The interviews contained such a wide array of people involved in the Guerrero that no questions remained unanswered, except for "Where is the Guerrero?"
