In this film the cowboy organizes a kidnapping scheme to secure the daughter of the eastern man, who objects to his attentions. The plan succeeds and, when the cowboy returns the girl safe, the father looks upon him as a hero and withdraws his objection. The charming widow, with whom the father is in love, partially compensates for the loss of his daughter. There is much life and action in the picture, and perhaps the old story is as well told as it could be. Cowboys are quite given to kidnapping, at least in pictures, and to represent them at their favorite pastime is to maintain traditions. - The Moving Picture World, July 8, 1911
