The whole documentary was filmed on one camera.
During the filming of the choir singing in the church one of the members collapsed with heart pains while the choir were being filmed singing 'My Heart Will Go On'. An ambulance was called to the church and the member was subsequently given the all clear.
During the filming the choir conductor 'walked out' on the choir and the ending sequences of the programme had to be rewritten. Hence, why there is no interview with the conductor.
The incidential music was especially composed by Joel Lightman who was based in Toronto, Canada. The composer and the producer never met during the production until four years after the DVD release. Their entire conversations were conducted over the internet.
