The Photographer Or The Subject
boblipton16 March 2024
A man comes into a photographer's studio and wants his picture taken. He argues with the photographer about everything.

It's directed by Alice Guy, arguably the first film director, It star Fernand Zecca, who also was a director. Whether he is the photographer or the man who wants the picture taken his way I cannot say.

It's pretty funny, and pretty long for 1902 for such a small idea and a bare set: two men, a chair, a camera, and a potted plant, and there you have it. It's a clear sign that by this point, everyone was practiced in telling a story simply by actions. Now the next step would be to make it longer.
