Dreamer Rocks the Hollywood Boat
julie_gal28 April 2005
Ever been to a movie where by the time you've watched the first ten minutes you know how it will end? Okay, have you ever watched one where you haven't? This is the one. Best movie of the year. It was an intellectually stimulating ride that left me exhilarated about life when it was over. When the lights come on it takes a few minutes to recover from the euphoria. Everyone in the audience looks around and feels a renewed, strong sense of brotherhood and belonging (a lot like you feel when you're a kid and don't have any connection to society values based on SES.) I can't explain the ride in words; you need to see it yourself.

Great family film!

The movie really has a great message, and the fact that it was filmed on such a low budget is amazing. The special effects are excellent. Definitely a recommended movie for families. Without giving anything away, if you have corporate job or feel chained to your desk, this movie will really speak to you, especially if you feel God calling you to a higher purpose! But at the same time, maybe that job is your higher purpose (makes you think). There were some hilarious scenes in the movie, and some real thought provokers. It would be a good segue into discussion with your teenager about what they want to make with their life, what their dreams are, and what God may be calling them to be. Where are their talents? This movie touches on all levels like that.
