Way too long, incoherent and poorly edited.

This is a multi lingual film by GV Iyer on Swami Vivekananda.

Although created by a legend who earlier made gems like films on Adi Shankaracharya and Bhagavad Gita, it's sad to see how poorly this version on Swami Vivekanand is created.

Way too long, incoherent and poorly edited. Such an important subject should have been well reviewed by the producers before letting release.

The saving glory is only the good looks of Sarvadaman Banerjee who plays Swami Vivekananda. And Mithun Chakraborty who plays Sri Ramakrishna.

Indeed, it's Mithun's so realistic performance scenes that are the only ones worth watching in this film.

Master-Class!

Swami Vivekananda - The chief disciple of the 19th century mystic Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and the founder of Ramakrishna Mission. He is considered a key figure in the introduction of Hindu philosophies of Vedanta and Yoga in Europe and America and is also credited with raising interfaith awareness, bringing Hinduism to the status of a world religion during the end of the 19th century.

G.V. Iyer's biopic on this legendary man, titled 'Vivekananda' is one of the most moving and emotional films I've seen to date. The late filmmaker manages to show us the life of a man who had a voice, who respected his Guru, and went down in History as a philosopher. It's one enlightening cinematic experience!

The soundtrack is wonderful. The performances are wonderful, but the one performance that stands out, is undoubtedly, by Mithun Chakraborty. As Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, the legendary actor delivers a superb performance. He was awarded his 3rd National-Award for his work here, and he deserved it. The actor who plays Vivekananda is very good. Shammi Kapoor, Hema, Anupam Kher and others leave a mark.

On the whole, 'Vivekananda' is a must watch. Two Big Thumbs Up!

Now this is what should be called a real movie !! I was actually looking for something so real and I am glad I found it. Why the heck is it on so low ratings? It is a master piece. Hats off to makers !! 🙂🙂😇😇 When it comes to spirituality everyone knows of Swami Vivekananda and what a great role Sarvadaman Banerjee has played in it. It looks like he has put his soul in the feet of swami vivekananda for letting him feel the real spirituality while performing on-screen. It should be re-released on big platforms so that today's generations could know more about Swami Vivekanand and the real spirituality and if not, atleast re-release on ott platforms.
