The NFL Game of the Week was produced by NFL Films which is now owned by the NFL. Founded as Blair Motion Pictures in 1962 by Ed Sabol and bought by the League in 1965. Blair Sabol was Ed's daughter and the sister of Steve Sabol who worked with his dad to develop NFL Films into an Emmy winning film company. Ed (2011) and Steve (2020) are enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The Game of the Week focused on a single game from the previous week's games and syndicated around the country. Narrators included famous sportscasters Lindsey Nelson, Ray Scott, Tom Brookshier, Bob Delaney and Harry Kalas.
