Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • A scene of a girl magically conjuring up a gun, and using it to shoot at a shop keeper to "make him dance". Its implied its not real bullets, but could still be scary due to the imagery of a child shooting at an adult.
  • One kid gets picked on by other kids throughout the movie. They do such things as throw him onto the ground and hold his head under water.
  • Several instances of slapstick violence, including people being tackled, bitten, kicked in the groin and hit by giant ice cream scoops used as snowballs.

Profanity

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • One woman is shown to be a chain smoker. In one scene she smokes next to two children, and they are visibly upset by the second-hand smoke.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A man is threatened to be thrown into a steamboat propeller to his presumed death by the mafia. The scene is played off like a proper Mafia film and could be very distressing to children.

Spoilers

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A man is implied to be shot by the mafia off-screen. A piece of his clothing is presented to the mob boss as proof of the assassination.
  • Two kids are sent out on a sinking boat in a swamp with alligators waiting to eat them. They get out of it alive, and the alligators are only shown through stock footage, but could be scary to younger children.
  • A ransom letter is sent with patches of a dogs fur, implying the dog to be dead by the reaction of the characters. It is later shown to be alive however in a last minute plot twist.
