Paula, a fashion designer with a pioneer spirit, decides to buy a place in a run down Barcelona neighborhood. She figures with her name and contacts, she might be setting a trend in the new area where she has decided to make a heavy investment. Paula's arrival is not exactly what the neighborhood was expecting. In fact, Paula gains the antipathy of the people displaced from the building where she sets her trendy boutique.
Among the affected persons is Oscar, who ran a sort of neighborhood community meeting place. His pregnant girlfriend Vane, is also against the invaders into their midst. An older man, Alberto sees the exodus of some neighbors with sadness. Paula and Oscar clash, because Paula made a discovery of drugs that his children had hidden in the boutique, but eventually, they are able to patch up their differences when Paula begins to realize her new neighbors are worth helping.
A comedy by Silvia Munt, is a vehicle for her to show her talents. The film is not a total loss because it illustrates what mindless individuals looking to establish the next hot spot for fashion and entertainment will go to whatever extremes in order to pursue their dreams, never realizing the lives they are displacing from the area because they are mainly poor and will not fit in with the gentrified neighborhood.
Silvia Munt does a good job in front, and behind the camera. The screenplay is not exactly original, but Ms. Munt gets good acting all around from her young cast.
