An enjoyable short despite not having a narrative or that many "impressive" movements
With the film played in reversed sections, this dance short shows loving couple Delia and George getting dressed and enjoying each other's company. With the approach of experimenting and not working with a narrative flow, Shelly Love's film unsurprisingly doesn't really have a lot of story behind it. It is best to come at it as the end product of a bit of playing with film and seeing what they could do when played backwards. As such it works reasonably well. The performers (including Love herself) have managed to make their movements in such a way so that they don't really look like they are playing backwards, while moving things in such a way that they must have been moving backwards. If it sound like a simple idea then that is because it is, however it is one that does still work.
The set design is good and the film is full of rich colours, which I loved. The movements are precise and work well within the idea of reversed film and, although none of them are that impressive technically, it must have been difficult to get it just so for the final cut of the film. The music is strangely soft and works really well adding value on top of the film. Overall an interesting short that is nice to watch despite not having a great deal to it.
