Bud and Lou are selling tickets for Hillary's charity bazaar. Lou tells Hillary his sad life story. At the charity carnival, Mr. Fields shows Bud initiation into the "buzzing bee club"- the "Busy Bee" routine in which girls "buzzing" around him spit water on him. After falling for the gag, Bud decides to get it on Lou. When he's hurt by it, Bud lets him get him back, but secretly has a mouthful of water he spits each time Lou "buzzes" around him. It evolves into a comical bit where both, in anticipation, can't keep a straight face and crack up each time. At the kissing booth, Lou pays $1 to kiss the lovely girl singing there (Nicla Di Bruno). He repeats it by stealing the dollar back from her purse a few times, until he starts shaking with the sound of his bones rattling (an effect later used in "Camp Runamuck"). Bud fleeces Mr. Fields and Lou with "the old Navy game"- "The Lemon Gag"- their take on the classic switching around of an item hidden by cups- "Cups and Balls". It leads to their classic, comical "Two Tens for a Five" routine. When Lou and Mr. Fields discover how Bud cheated them, they set out for revenge.
The series has established itself as laughs first with the story secondary and loosely constructed. This is very apparent here, as the show is mainly a showcase for a variety of gags and routines.
