There is something about the new boy in class.

In this episode, Mr Poachman, the science teacher, has just one thing left before the school year ends and that is to write a twenty-one page paper in a week for most of the final grade. Big Pete and Ellen are assigned some odd papers about about science and wavelengths and are bummed out on the topic. But when a nerdy new kid, Joe Jones, gets Pete interested in wavelengths of 1958 NFL championship game and Ellen interested if aliens are on earth- it looks likes the work on the papers will be more exciting.

But there is more to this Joe Jones than meets the eye. Why would Pete and Ellen be hanging around a kid with a large cowlick in his hair and smells like cooked vegetables, there has to be more to this kid. There has to be a reason why this kids is even around.

Even though the idea is rather far-fetched, the meaning of the story comes through will flying colors. A well meaning episode that tells teenagers that even the least popular people can still be your friend. With good writing and nice acting this episode proved entertaining from beginning to end. Good watch.
