Superman: A Knight In Flying Armor
ccthemovieman-129 December 2006
Lois and Jimmy are in a museum photographing things for a news article. Lois is admiring the big diamond ring encased in glass. Jimmy says something like "Well, if I was a crook, I'd get that for you." Some people overhear him. At closing time, a man inside a suit of armor in the same room, "comes to life" and steals the diamond. Of course, Jimmy and Lois, the last people in the room, are blamed for the theft.

However, it's soon discovered that the jewel wasn't stolen at all. It was all part of some "test" by these four crazy old guys who think they are back in the days of the Knights of the Round Table. One problem: Sir Arthur, who pulled the stunt, left his cuff link and knows Olsen has it, which might lead the police to their little group.

After a slow start, this became entertaining. It not only was funny but there was an element of crime as one of the Knights turns out to be a killer, trying to get the money of the other three. Once again, Jimmy and Lois need to be rescued, this time from a dungeon.

If nothing else, this episode is worth seeing just to see Superman flying through the air in a suit of armor!!

Good Knight, Bad Knight

A group of four rich men form a kind of secret society, attempting to follow the code of the Arthurian knights. They even take names like Gawain and Lancelot. They are relatively harmless but do some pretty dangerous things. Dangerous in that if they are caught they could spend some jail time. While Lois and Jimmy are in a museum, they steal what we think is the ring but it is not. However, the two reporters are initially blamed and this piques their curiosity. Superman gets into the act and confronts the men, but he does nothing because he doesn't see them as a threat. So where's the rub. Well, the three have a pact. They have invested a small fortune in their activity. It is quite a large amount and if something were to happen to one or more of them, the others would benefit. If three of the four were to die, the surviving one would get it all. You get the picture. There is duplicity and trickery along the way. This is one of the better episodes because it keeps a semblance of reality.
