Mr Humphries is late for work, and has fallen out with his mother. Worse still, money has gone missing from the till, and Mr Rumbold needs a scapegoat.
It isn't a classic, but does have some merits, there is some originality, we haven't before had an episode where someone is pinching from the till, and it's one of the only times that Mr Humphries is landed in trouble.
A drunken Mr Humphries is very funny, and the confrontation between Captain Peacock and Mrs Slocombe is also funny, he's naturally abused his position to lie about his time of arrival.
The so called court room scene is beyond far fetched, it's almost surreal, there are a few chuckles, but don't expect reality.
It's a mixed bag, 6/10.
