Quotes
-
Lola White : My, you're just as handsome as ever. You know, I told Johnny the only reason I was marrying him was because I was tired of waiting for you... What's wrong, Bat?
William Barclay 'Bat' Masterson : I hate to be the one to tell you this, Lola, but it's bad news. Very bad.
Lola White : What is it, Bat? Is it about Johnny?
William Barclay 'Bat' Masterson : Johnny's dead, Lola.
Lola White : I-I guess I'll have to wait for you after all, won't I, Bat?
-
Alf Hayman : Well, we had the Yaqui Kid and he got away.
William Barclay 'Bat' Masterson : Well, there's one thing in our favor we didn't have before. Now we know who we're looking for.
Alf Hayman : You intend to go after him?
William Barclay 'Bat' Masterson : Alone if I have to.
Alf Hayman : You won't be alone.
-
Alf Hayman : A holdout gun! That was one thing the Yaqui Kid didn't think of.
William Barclay 'Bat' Masterson : You have to play the game by the rules the other fellow makes up... but you don't have to like them.

Bat Masterson : Travelling alone this time. What am I doing sitting over here?
[Bat moves to her side of the coach and sits next to her]
-
William Barclay 'Bat' Masterson : I'm in Yuma to attend a wedding, not a manhunt.
Sheriff Brady : I'll have to have a full report from you.
William Barclay 'Bat' Masterson : You'll get it. Right now, I'm a little hungry. I'm here to give the bride away, my closet bout with matrimony to date, and the thought makes me a little nervous and when I get nervous...
Sheriff Brady : You get hungry.
-
Sheriff Brady : Wasn't it any good?
William Barclay 'Bat' Masterson : Boiled prairie dog would be good as long as you have the right wine to go with it.
