At one point, Batman makes a reference to his uncle. At this point in the comics, Bruce Wayne did not have an uncle, but the character of Bruce's "Uncle Phillip" would be introduced in 1969, and established as Thomas Wayne's brother in 1985.

Frank Gorshin, a prolific and talented performer, would go on to guest star in another TV series that premiered in the fall of 1966..."Star Trek." He would play Commissioner Bele of Cheron in 1969's "Let That Be Your Last Battlefield." Gorshin also was on the same episode of Ed Sullivan that introduced the Beatles to American TV audiences.
