Dr. Wilker : So far, I've determined that the atmosphere of the planet these people came from is approximately one-fifth the atmosphere of Caprica. Also, there are references to another planet called Terra...
Commander Adama : Wait a centon.
Dr. Wilker : Yes, sir.
Commander Adama : Terra... Terra in Gemonese means Earth!
Captain Apollo : That doesn't mean this is the planet Earth we're looking for.
-
Captain Apollo : Michael, in our language Terra's a word sometimes used by an ancient race to refer to Earth. Have you ever heard Terra called Earth?
Michael : Yes, but it's also a term used to refer to the soil, other planets in our galaxy with similar environments. You have to understand, it's a common belief with us that we al stem from the same tree.
-
Captain Apollo : You did right, Hector.
Vector : For an imbecile!
Hector : You made me.
Vector : Don't remind me.
-
Captain Apollo : We'll check in with each other every few centons.
Michael : Apollo, just what is a centon?
-
Captain Apollo : We'll begin taking sleep periods to conserve our strength. There's no telling how far out that ship's destination may be. Set your breathers for minimum to conserve.
Lieutenant Starbuck : All right, but I'm too excited to be sleepy.
Captain Apollo : Starbuck, this trip could be endless.
Lieutenant Starbuck : Meaning none of us may make it? Remind me to invite you to my next party. You're a lot of fun.
-
Vector : You all right?
Captain Apollo : I'm just trying to conserve air. You don't know how lucky you are.
Vector : Yeah, well, I may not suffocate, but I could rust myself to death. Or we may all get lost down here. These chambers go on forever and ever and ever!
Captain Apollo : You're a lot of laughs, Vector.
-
Captain Apollo : Well... it sounds as if Michael has lived up to his end of the bargain.
Sarah : The bargain wasn't my idea. I don't know what my father had in mind, but as you can see, there is only one house.
Captain Apollo : There, you see? You don't even have a place for me.
[laughs]
Sarah : [smiles] I might be willing to make certain allowances.
Captain Apollo : Sarah, you don't even know me. I mean, for all you know, I could be the worst scavenger in the entire universe. Or a spy or a saboteur, who knows?
Sarah : I know you well enough to know I like you.
Captain Apollo : But, Sarah, I... Even if it weren't for the mission, I don't love you. At least not yet.
[scoffs]
Sarah : But in time you could. I've seen the way you've looked at me. If you'd just give me half a chance.
Captain Apollo : What are we talking about here?
[stands up]
Captain Apollo : This is impossible.
[laughs as he walks on]
Captain Apollo : I've got to leave here, and soon.
Sarah : [clearly scheming something] And if you weren't able to?
Captain Apollo : What's that supposed to mean?
Sarah : You don't know about the Alliance. You don't know what you're heading into...
[shakes her head]
Sarah : and how well off you could be here...
[smiles]
Sarah : with me.
