- Dar must summon all of his skills to end the killing rampage of the Umpatra, the world's greatest warrior, who is secretly backed by the magic of the evil demon Ketzwayo, Curupira's sworn enemy.
- Prompted by the killing of three of his elephant friends, Dar (Daniel Goddard) determines to track and battle Nokinja (Grace Jones), an Umpatra warrior. She is one in a long line of legendary hunters who kill animals solely for honor. Curupira (Emilie De Ravin) angrily disowns Dar and attempts to kill Nokinja, only to find that her demon enemy, Ketzwayo (Arthur Penn), is actually behind the animal killings. While Nokinja conspires to capture Ruh, Sharak and the ferrets, Ketzwayo insists that Dar and Nokinja fight to the death. Alone and friendless, Dar battles the magically powered Nokinja to save himself and the entire animal kingdom from Ketzwayo's evil designs. Knowing that the Umpatra believe it is dishonorable to use magic, Dar convinces Nokinja that her triumphs are a result of Ketzwayo's powers, and she commits suicide. Without the possession of a human soul, Ketzwayo becomes vulnerable and is killed by Curupira.—Genosleuth29
- Prompted by the killing of three of his elephant friends, Dar (Daniel Goddard) determines to track and battle Nokinja (Grace Jones), an Umpatra warrior. She is one in a long line of legendary hunters who kill animals solely for honor. Dar and Tao have a meal with Nokinja not realizing she is the Umpatra warrior that they seek. Curupira (Emilie De Ravin) angrily disowns Dar and attempts to kill Nokinja, only to find that her demon enemy, Ketzwayo (Arthur Penn), is actually behind the animal killings. She consults the Ancient One who says that if Ketzwayo loses the soul of Nokinja then he can be vulnerable and can be defeated. Curupira goes back to Ketzwayo and makes a wager: if Dar defeats Nokinja then Ketzwayo must leave her forest. If Dar loses, then Ketzwayo wins the forest. Tao sees the magic is in Ketzwayos necklace and manages to take it off him, which allows Nokinja to lose her superhuman strength. Knowing that the Umpatra believe it is dishonorable to use magic, Dar convinces Nokinja that her triumphs are a result of Ketzwayo's powers, and she commits suicide by throwing her spear in the air and allowing it to pierce her body. Without the possession of a human soul, Ketzwayo becomes vulnerable and is killed by Curupira after he runs away in the forest.
