This episode puts the focus back on to the Becker/Reggie relationship, and offers us as the audience an insight into what they would potentially be like as a couple. It's a different sort of will they/won't they arc than Ted Danson had played out previously on 'Cheers', and this episode shows the potential in letting that arc continue.
Of course, it is Danson's show, make no mistake in that, but for 'Becker' to have a long run (which it did go on to do) the supporting characters did need to have moments/plots of their own, and Margaret gets a good B plot here.
Overall another fun episode of a sitcom I believe needs more recognition.
