This is very clever stuff.
It gives us what we perhaps assumed would be the topic for the end of series one finale (progression on the John Becker and Reggie dynamic/potential relationship), but delivers in a way that's so clever and ultimately so true to what 'Becker' is as a sitcom.
It never gives us totally what we expect, there's always darkness that runs alongside the light comedic fare.
Wonderfully played and performed, this ends what has been a stellar first series of the show. I can think of only a couple of in my opinion sub-par episodes, and that makes for a very high strike rate.
It's a pleasure to watch this show.
