John Fiedler gets greedy in his business dealings. And to make matters worse hires an unscrupulous employee. It starts out looking like a whimsical movie. The episode gets serious. Pat O'Malley is memorable as one of the friends who's counting on prosperity via his dealings with Fiedler. This is a great episode for Hoss and Little Joe. Ben has good lines, too. There's romance in this one, also. The movies do a good job, at least in the Golden Age of Hollywood, reminding us of the problems of being alone. Fiedler is one of the great voice actors of all time. He takes a back seat to Mel Blanc in cartoons but not many others. And he had one of the most memorable cameos in movie history as Lawyer Daggett in True Grit. This may be his best role of all as a failed employee turned thriving business man.
