OK, in the previous week's show they had Candy fall in love with some newcomer , and of course it does not work out well.
Now he supposedly has a "longtime fiancé", Lila?
Either the writers don't talk to one another, or they think the audience is the human equivalent of a goldfish, who would not remember the previous episode.
Or are they saying Candy is the type to have a "girl in every town"?
Additional - August 20, 2022 - OK, on another viewing, I should mention that although the writing still has its flaws, the ending stands out. The corrupt sheriff gets the surprise of his life.
Also, despite the writing, the acting is good, all around. If you can overlook the issues with the writing, this episode is well worth the watch.
