In Season 3, Episode 1 "Family", why does Det. Vera refer to the new detective, Josie Sutton, as parachuting in from Texas? There are several references during the episodes with her character stating that she transferred from a different precinct of Philly PD due to a scandal.
She is from Philadelphia, the daughter of a fallen police officer, which is why she got the transfer so easily, leading to Vera calling her a parachuter. Det. Vera actually referred to her as parachuting in from 'West Detectives'.
