Tom, Eddie, and Norman are having dinner in a restaurant where they are tended to by a waiter they know well, Gus (TV director Hal Cooper). They are shocked to find that Gus can afford to take his wife on a three-month European vacation. Gus explains it is through his investments in real estate and oil, and he only works because he likes it. Norman is now itching to invest. Tom, on the other hand, has never had success with investments. Norman picks Gus' brain about the how to make smart investments, and the conversation carries over to Tom's apartment. Norman pressures Gus to let them in on an oil investment he is going into. Problems arise as they dig deeper, no pun intended.
Some moments of humor, but an episode where Eddie is largely missing (until seemingly forced into the last third), and thus, the father-son dynamic that is the strength of the show.
