Brian entertains Alan and Beryl, the pair offer to return the favour, by taking Dad out for a meal at a posh restaurant.
They did all they could to make Brian irritating, he's well meaning and sweet, but he would drive you insane. It's amusing enough, it's cosy, easy going comedy, there are a few laughs. Maybe it hasn't aged all that well this one.
I like the random laughs, the window cleaner scene was funny, and definitely unexpected. Dad's infatuation with the man with the 99p stall was also weirdly funny.
Mr Nigel, it's an outrageous performance from Barry Howard, best known of course for Hi-de-hi, he's maybe a little too over the top here, but it's amusing enough.
Amusing enough, 6/10.
