The Enemy Within the Gates
The Home Guard platoon get some more bits of uniforms such as a cap to wear.
They also get training on how to spot if a soldier is British or a German in disguise. Just as Captain Mainwaring starts a heavily accented British officer arrives with new orders who turns out to be Polish. Captain Winogrodzki tells the men that anyone who captures a German airman alive will get £10 per head.
Jones, Walker and Pike capture two German officers later that night as well as shoot a swan. Back at base Godfrey manages to lose the men as they go for a tinkle.
However Walker improvises to make sure he gets the £10 reward per German and an extra reward as well.
You get the first sense of farce creeping in here with the lights on/off scenario. Also the first signs of buffoonery from Captain Mainwaring when the Polish officer comes in and then leaving the captured Germans with Godfrey and Pike.
