Jane Merrow said in an interview that during this episode, she stood her ground against Patrick McGoohan. She also said she "loved working with him, the thrill, the energy, '...it was like riding an exhilarating roller coaster'.
In 2 of Ms Jane Merrow's three appearances in the hour-long episodes, she plays a representative of the (both Communist) nation('s); this one's name isn't mentioned, but it seems to be Cuba. The other one's named; Romania) to which Drake's been sent (in both episodes, Drake must smuggle an M9 agent out of that country). In both episodes, Ms Merrow's character(s) are in Drake's room, just when the agent's accidentally seen (in this episode, Peter Miller's hiding on the window's top ledge. In the other, The Man Who Wouldn't Talk (1965), he's hiding in the bathroom and she inadvertently sees his reflection). The endings - and specifically, Ms Merrow's charters' reaction are totally opposite.
This is the second time Patrick McGoohan and James Maxwell worked together, the 2 had previously appeared in the series, World Theatre (1959), in the episode, Brand (1959), which had garnered so much praise (especially for McGoohan's acting), that Lew Grade commissioned a series for McGoohan. The result was Danger Man (1960).
