- George has insomnia and goes to the diner where she finds Rube proctoring the other Reapers doing self-evaluation tests. She discovers that Rube has a reap scheduled in George's family's driveway, causing anxiety for George.
- This episode starts off with a case of insomnia for George and a written (self) exam for the remaining troupe. It is full of flashbacks for all the characters. Rube looks through an over-sized book of paintings while admonshing the reapers about cheating on their tests. Georgia finds out that Rube is going to harvest a soul at 3851 Beatrice Lane, her parent's house and struggles between her duty as a reaper and her desire to protect her loved ones. The episode ends with a "Dead Like Me" version of the "Nighthawks" painting by Edward Hopper.
---------------------
In her new digs, George has insomnia and is getting desperate for sleep, and takes her bike by her old house in a fit of nostalgia. At the diner, Rube is passing out little blue testbooks, because it's time for the yearly self evaluation test (which sounds like every stupid such thing at every corporation everywhere) for the reapers. We enjoy the previous season in snips of flashbacks for all the reapers. Rube and George have a showdown because his next mark will be in the driveway of George's house, but he will neither let her go with him or tell her anything more about it.
