- Facing the pressure of year-end exams, the furthest thing from Marco's mind is what happened a year ago - when Dylan stomped all over his heart. Marco takes this as a sign that he's over Dylan for good.
- It's year end exam time and everyone's nerves are a little frazzled, but especially so for two students, Liberty and Marco, who are facing added burdens outside of exams. Liberty has just found out that the adoptive parents of her baby are planning on moving to Seattle, so she will no longer have contact with her child. Moody and somewhat self-destructive, she lashes out at her parents and Derek in particular, the latter who eventually helps her through her depression when he mentions that he too is an adopted child and that his birth mother provided him with a memory box, which she and J.T. end up doing for their child. Marco's pressure comes in the form of ex Dylan, who has returned home for the summer. Still smarting deeply from their break-up, Marco announces to everyone, including Dylan, that Tim is his new boyfriend despite the fact that they have never even gone out on a date. Dylan admits to Marco that he still loves him and that their break-up was all his fault. Marco just wants Dylan to leave him alone, but his protests are just a little too strong, masking a still strong passion for his first love. Before he can settle things with Dylan, Marco must first admit to Tim the nature of their relationship and what Marco really wants in light of Dylan's return.—Huggo
