Rob is in a bind. He's promised to go see Richie in some school play, but Alan has just asked Rob to fly to Washington to see some singer's performance, as they MIGHT want to put her on the show. He tells Laura he's going to go to Washington...but he's uneasy about this decision, as he spends most of the episode discussing this with a guy (Jesse White) who is sitting next to him on the plane.
This is the first episode of the show that left me a bit flat. First, it's a LOT like the first episode...and coming so soon after, this seems, well, odd. Second, the dream sequence to me was pretty lame. Not a terrible episode but not among the better ones.
