Review - The Big Bounce Aired 11-17-55
Not a bad episode without any guns drawn working days out of Forgery Division, Friday, Smith follow their leads around town to find the guy passing bad paper to room-to-rent landladies. After several victims are caught by the man writing the checks, one lady recognizes him from film he had appeared in, giving his name to the police. The police follow-up through the Screen Actors Guild, first confirming the name on the checks is a deceased actor, the name one victim gave is identified as an actor in bad standing for not paying his union dues. The man named had an agent Friday visits, leaving his card in case the man contact the agent. A picture is circulated of the offender and Friday, Smith visit and take the man into custody. Found guilty and now serving his term in the State Penitentiary, San Quentin.
Well played by all the actors and actresses in guest roles, none notable appearing, but well-done anyway. Worth watching this episode for the characters played.
