- Alexis Carrington Colby: Are you also concerned about what's happening to my son?
- Dana Waring Carrington: [sweetly] Yes, I love Adam very much.
- Alexis Carrington Colby: [sarcastic] Oh, you worshiped him from afar, but you never dared to talk to him. Then when you found out that he was a Carrington, you made your move.
- Dana Waring Carrington: [flings the paper work she'd been busy with aside] That is sick, Alexis!
- Alexis Carrington Colby: No, Dana. What is sick is what you are doing to my son. I have just had to go and bail him out of jail.
- Dana Waring Carrington: What?
- Alexis Carrington Colby: Yes. The police found him lying drunk in an alley. And you know what happened when I went to see him? He told me to leave.
- Dana Waring Carrington: Look, Alexis, I'm sorry for what has happened to Adam, but for you to blame me...
- Alexis Carrington Colby: Yes, yes, I do blame you. And I hold you responsible for what's happening with Adam. For my own son, to run away from me, you know what that means?
- Dana Waring Carrington: My God, I have tried to tell everyone that something is wrong with Adam. Except nobody would listen to me. And that includes you, Alexis.
- Alexis Carrington Colby: [lowers her eyes, stands up, moves away, sits down deep in thought] That's right, you have been trying to tell us. All right, let's find out what it is. Now I'm listening.
- Dana Waring Carrington: [after kiss] Oh, God, I've been so worried about you. Steven told me...
- Adam Carrington: That I wouldn't come back with him? I needed time to think.
- [kisses her again]
- Adam Carrington: Well, I took an hour, and then I caught the next flight back. And all the way, I kept trying to figure out how I was gonna ask you to forgive me.
- Dana Waring Carrington: You just have. And I do.
- Adam Carrington: [kisses her again] Dana. Will you come away with me?
- Dana Waring Carrington: Anywhere.
- Adam Carrington: But I can't live here anymore. Not as Michael Torrance.
- Dana Waring Carrington: Whatever you want, Michael, whatever. I just know that I have to have you near me.
- [hugs him]
- Adam Carrington: I want us to forget this nightmare that I've put you through.
- [she nods]
- Adam Carrington: I want us to start living our lives together.
- [his hands on both sides of her neck:]
- Adam Carrington: And... I want you to marry me. Will you?
- Dana Waring Carrington: Yes. Yes, oh yes.
- Sammy Jo Dean Carrington: I've lost you, Steven. And now I feel like I'm losing Danny, too.
- Steven Carrington: [sighs] I know how you feel right now.
- [toying with her collar]
- Steven Carrington: Why can't you understand what I'm going through?
- Sammy Jo Dean Carrington: I try to.
- Steven Carrington: [shakes head] But you can't. Or you won't.
- Sammy Jo Dean Carrington: I do try. And sometimes I wonder why we can't reach some sort of a compromise. Can't we put the pain that Danny's going through before ourselves?
- Steven Carrington: [turning away] What do you suggest we do? We live a sham? That we pretend that we're a family, and then it falls apart when he gets older and realizes that nothing in his life was real?
- Sammy Jo Dean Carrington: Our love for him is real.
- Steven Carrington: Then he's gonna get it from us separately.
- Sammy Jo Dean Carrington: Except he's finding it so hard. But you,
- [advances]
- Sammy Jo Dean Carrington: you don't really care, do you? You're into some sort of self-pity right now.
- Steven Carrington: Sammy Jo, listen to me...
- Sammy Jo Dean Carrington: No, I'm tired of listening to your empty words. Because that's what they are to me. Empty. So if you just came here to do nothing, don't bother coming back again.
- [eyes flaring:]
- Sammy Jo Dean Carrington: Get out, Steven. Just get out.
