Warning: Spoilers
Eddie who as we remember is a manager at the fast food place, hires Waldo because he is out of job. But Waldo is horrible at it so Eddie thinks to fire him. This was a nice storyline, I especially like the solution that they came up with. I thought that he will just fire Waldo, but this way it ended up great for everyone. And there were a lot of funny Waldo moments.

Now Laura is embarrassed by her mom because of her behavior in front of her friends. A good idea. One can relate to both characters. I remember being a teenager and while I am not Harriet's age I understand her as well. It is not a very credible outcome, but it was still sweet. I really liked the acting by JoMarie Payton

Growing Pains

It's crazy to see how fast these kids are growing up. Within the span of a few seasons we've seen the characters go from tots to teens, with all the requisite character-building that goes along with it. Laura displays some neat acting chops here with believable emotion, and Eddie has some great moments with Carl and Waldo.

In praise of Laura

There is hardly any interaction between Laura and Steve in this episode (which would usually not make me happy). Here, Laura and her mom make the show. There are two places where Laura almost starts to cry. She got me emotional, because it seemed like it might not have been scripted. Maybe this was Kellie, so much into the moment, that the emotion just came out. Laura's gotten me choked up in other episodes, but usually when she was with Steve. I've read some viewer comments in which people say Myra was prettier than Laura. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Myra was consistently irritating. Laura had depth and substance. Kellie S Williams is a fantastic actress. She was just as critical to the show as Jaleel White.
