Daddy's Little Girl (#3.5)

Warning: Spoilers
Laura acted like a total fool today, which is a good story about a teenager. One thing though is that I really didn't notice her wearing too much make up, when it comes to looks she seemed to look fine. They should have done much more there, make her paint herself like a total clown.

Not a lot of Steve in this episode. But I loved his great beach outfit, very very cute! And watching him dancing to some 90's songs in his headphones is something I always like. Hope to see more of this in the future episodes!

One of my favorite lines was about the silent alarm

Although I didn't really enjoy the sections with Steve on vacation in this one, the storyline involving Laura and the resulting ending are worth the time investment. Very heartwarming and emotional.

Laura's puppy love

Warning: Spoilers
Laura flips over Carl's new partner, apparently thinking the age difference is not a factor. Trying to impress this guy, she dresses older than her years, and gets humiliated by her father. Kellie S Williams was fantastic. She could have easily been a dramatic actress. She got me choked up at least three times in this episode. There is little interaction between Laura and Steve here (never a good thing). Ironically, however, Laura learns what it can be like to really like someone who is indifferent to you. The tender scene between Laura and her father is a standout.

"Daddy, We'll always have the county fair!"

Warning: Spoilers
In this episode Steve goes to Hawai while Carl has a new young partner, Mike , who mesmerizes Laura. I didn't really care for this episode, Steve was still the highlight, amazing how he can be in camera for less than 5 minutes and still steal the whole episode. Laura as a fool teenager overwhelmed by a boy it's not a new one, her scene with Carl at the end was sweet and emotional, the music helped (normally don't notice these musical backgrounds). If I said it once, I've said it a million times, Kellie Williams is perfect as Laura, perfect casting, knows how to be emotional and to be fun when it's required, Eddie could take some acting lessons. Ed and Estelle don't exist in this episode (Yes, Eddie has a phone scene) (not even gonna mention the others) , this is common in this show but it always bothers me, not even an explanation for their absense. Steve coming back in the end of the episode was a treat . 5/10 ***** Peter Shelby
