Hot Stuff (#4.22)

Warning: Spoilers
Myra comes to Laura to get help to hook up with Steve Urkel and it does work out because the annoying nerd now has a girlfriend! Their little accordion time was something special. Sexy would be the wrong word to use but it really was intense and made one laugh, no wonder it ended in such a beautiful kiss. That kiss was a bit too much for the Urkel that we know, is his character developing more and more? I like that!

And Eddie gets a great deal for a stereo for his car and turns out that it is stolen. It is mainly to give us a lesson on how stealing is bad because there is a victim of the robbery, but it had some fun moments too. My favorite was Urkel dancing to a yodeling station. It was a great episode with Urkel as the music guy

"Steve, why aren't you looking at me?"

Warning: Spoilers
Laura is supposedly happy when Steve seems to be falling for Myra. However, there are some interesting contradictions. Myra had approached Laura for advice on how to "get" Steve. Laura questions Myra's claim that she thinks Steve is sexy. If Laura was so anxious to get Steve out of her hair, she had no logical reason to question this girl, who was obviously interested in Steve. Laura witnessed Steve and Myra kissing, and acted like she was thrilled to see this. When Steve later stops by, and he doesn't look at Laura, she says the line in my heading. Her question was absolutely sincere. For all of Laura's efforts to relieve herself of Steve, she is absolutely not happy if Steve is not "looking" at her. This was so sweet! I think Laura loved Steve as much, if not more, than he loved her! Great moments in this episode, between Laura and Steve. The part about Eddie unknowingly buying a "hot" stereo for his car? It was mildly interesting. Only Steve and Laura (or Jaleel and Kellie) made everything worthwhile.

That tension during the accordion scene could be cut with a knife! Steve finally has someone who cares about him like he cares for Laura! Also, a great side story with Eddie and his father, with an important lesson learned. Great episode!
