First part was that annoying actress lady with the super soft voice coming to the island. Apparently she saved Tattoo in a runaway taxi incident in France. She is in love with some dude that plays the piano and wants a romance with him. So Rourke gives her a ring that will make whoever you touch hands with while wearing it, fall in love with you. She accidentally touches some young guy, who chases her, holds hilarious signs asking her for marriage , cheap flings etc. So Rourke gives her a second chance but its now tattoos responsibility. Hes like "its a piece of cake" and for whatever reason Rourke isn't like "but i must warn you" and all that. So she is at a dinner to meet the piano guy, whose the chaplain from MASH and they misfire touching hands due to a young Delta Burke, the Piano guys girlfriend, being in the way and she touches that young guy's dad by accident and he starts chasing her while the young guy is horrified , i think he was still in love, i forget, i was drinking beer and its not in my notes. I take notes on my Iphone,. the wife was sitting by me doing computer work and i think shes onto me. Anyhow, she gets a third chance. touches him but then realizes he had to finish his song hes writing and leaves him. but he plays a beautiful song and she realizes she doesn't need the ring, hes happy she left him alone to finish it and tells her she is in the song, and the young delta Burke who was always fondling him but not into him is gone so he gets squeaky voiced actress instead. what a happy ending. Oh keep in mind any romance only lasts 2 days with the ring making it stupider. But without the ring, the MASH guy is pretty much quoting stuff from Dumb and Dumber 11 years before its time. "i like you a lot" and her with "You mean i got a chance" . hmmm. Tattoo being a pervert takes the ring at the end and touches a hula dancer who has a jealous boyfriend who chases him . All in all, stupid but hilarious stupid.
The second story was the dark story i was hoping for, but not so much dark as stupid and predictable. Guy is desperate to meet some chic he is in love with again and is so excited but Rourke looks dead serious (but doesn't do his "but i must warn you...the whole town wants to kill you" speech. Hes just like "Everyone in that town, with the whole burning hte witch trial at the stake from 1682 that you seem to think nothing of and is of no importance may be in fact dangerous and lead to your demise at no cost to Fantasy Island since i mentioned it". So he goes to the town, stands were a monument is saying that lady was burned at hte stake in the spot and walks over to a bench where i imagined someone was watching at that spot in 1682 (with no plaque) and sees his love . some chic that looks like she is from Heart or Facts of Life JO hair fan club. Shes like "i love you go away" he follows her, her dad is there, that bad ass old guy actor and hes like "oh hey stranger, your here to see my daughter, great, come to town hall, we having a party for her 21 st birthday". then some guy aims an arrow at him and dads like "not now". So he's like her boyfriend immediately, goes to town hall, tells her they should marry (fast for even Fantasy Island standards) and then he is drugged as the Heart chicks sister falls over and has a burnt face from a curse. So this guy has to die, its been this way forever and the brotehr is trying to help him escape and takes him to a graveyard and he sees his own stone. It says 1956 -1983 and I'm like wow he died a long time ago but this story was aired in 1983 and I'm like , "wait run" but the whole town, many with burnt faces are their and an arrow pointed at him that terribly misses conveniently. The dad is once again like "not now" and i m like "shoot him" and dad feels its better to once again take him back into town but I'm still yelling "his grave is right there , shoot him and just throw him in it, you'll save corpse transportation costs". but love wins, they both say they want to die for the other, towns people are like, lets kill them both and that guy shoots another arrow but it hits a monument, sprays water and in a creepy like Jesus way, Rourke shows up, soaks a hankie i the water and cures the younger sisters burnt face by applying it.at one point in this episode, i notice how skinny the Heart girls arms are as she then goes and hits him in the back with a gun , knocking him out. lol. She also kinda has a southern accent which is odd for someone grown up in a new england like witch town, in Hawaii. anyhow good episode.
