Pebbles' Birthday Party (1964) is referenced numerous times, such as Sixteen Candles and Four-Hundred-Pound Men (1996). It has the basis for Cory and Shawn's plan when Cory also tries to be in two places, at the very same time, or almost. Like Fred Flintstone, both were failures at the goals of what they heavily tried to accomplish.
In the first minute, after the Opening Credits conclude Fred Flintstone's loud snoring sent a saber-toothed cat away. It was on top of Fred's bed, by his feet. After being "rudely awakened", the saber-toothed cat said "That does it. I'm turning myself in at the animal shelter. At least I can get a night's sleep." Then it quickly ran away. The saber-toothed cat, is the very same figure, that "put Fred out the door", during seasons 3, 4, 5 & 6's Closing Credits.
