The Princess

Amishar (Leonard Sachs) and Princess Toma (Betta St John) are royalty from a small far eastern country.

As they visit various capitals of Europe, Tim Collier tries to get an interview with the princess but she is proving to be elusive.

Collier is worried that someone is targeting the princess for murder. Only to be shocked to find out that the princess is wanting to commit suicide. All because she is unable to provide an heir to the throne.

Collier is convinced that Amishar has faked a medical report to push the princess out of the way. Only to find that someone else in the royal entourage has an ulterior motive.

I thought the story was weak, the princess willing to kill herself and even the Amishar so willing to be duped by someone he trusted.

It's a pretty lacklustre storyline.

Princess Toma and Amishar, Eastern royalty arrive for a tour if Europe, Tim Collier tries to arrange an interview with the Princess, but his efforts prove fruitless, when he does meet her, he's disturbed to learn she wants to commit suicide.

It's been a pretty long series, and perhaps it's fair to say that some of the creative flair that existed in the earlier episodes, is starting to run a little dry.

I really didn't care for the storyline, I thought it was pretty weak, hard to believe, and just a bit lifeless, so much of it was just so tenuous, and hard to imagine.

Some pretty good imagery, the suicide attempt, and attempt on The Train both looked pretty realistic. Sadly the story just didn't hold enough interest to make them important enough.

Betta St. John does add some real glamour as The Princess, she's very striking.

5/10.
