An interesting case for Manfred.
Sleepin_Dragon3 May 2023
Manfred is presented with a list of high ranking names in Germany, all are believed to be ex Nazis and Naxi sympathisers, the provider of the list, Paul Koster, has a history of accusing people of being Nazis.

It's a really interesting, well paced episode, worth considering that the end of The Second World War was just some fifteen years before this went out. A good race against the clock story, what possible reason could Koster have for lying?

It's always great to see Donald Pleasence, and of course he doesn't disappointing, it's a very subtle, sincere performance, he's in good company with Allan Cuthbertson and Kevin Stoney, two people born to play villains.

Some interesting shots of old dockyards, I'd love to know what that site looks like now.

7/10.

The Survivor
Prismark1030 April 2023
Paul Koster (Donald Pleasence) spent four years in a Nazi concentration camp. Now living in Britain he has come across some information that ex Nazis plan to take back control in Germany.

Koster visits Ben Manfred MP about his concerns. Manfred denounced certain people as Nazis in Parliament. It caused great uproar.

The security services tell Manfred that Koster is going to be deported from Britain. He has a habit of labelling innocent people as Nazis and thereby stir up trouble. In fact he is now associating with neo Nazis.

Manfred investigates and believes Koster to be genuine but he is being used as a fall guy. Maybe to stop some urgent vaccines being shipped to Germany. A plan orchestrated by neo Nazis and Koster is unaware of it all.

A nice thriller with a ticking clock element. A good and a slightly understated performance from Pleasance.
