During the opening and closing narration several parts of the Hippocratic Oath are supposedly quoted. What is quoted is actually from the Physician's Oath produced in Geneva in 1948. It updated the antiquated nature of the Hippocratic Oath and also sought to prevent doctors from ever again engaging in the horrific practices that occurred under the Nazis during WW II. It has been modified several times since then to reflect changes in laws and customs, such as no longer forbidding doctors from performing abortions. Contrary to what many people assume, new doctors are not required to take the Hippocratic or Doctor's Oath before they receive their License.

The Pacific Electric railway existed only in Southern California, covering a few thousand square miles (centering on Los Angeles and San Bernadino.)
This is the 100th entry in the series. Nine months to the day later, ABC would air Pt. 1 of the series' finale and Pt. 2 on the 29th of August, making 120 in all.
